Gran Hotel Miramar is located in the area of La Caleta de Málaga, between the promenade of Reding and the promenade.
The main façade of this majestic building faces the Mediterranean Sea, offering spectacular views of the Bay of Malaga. In addition, its excellent location allows you to reach the main museums in the city in just five minutes on foot, such as the Picasso Museum, Carmen Thyssen, the Pompidou Centre or Hermitage.
Considered as the masterpiece of the architect Fernando Guerrero Strachan and after five years in construction, it was inaugurated in 1926 by the very Alfonso XIII, under the name of “Hotel Príncipe de Asturias”. Later, in 1936 with the arrival of the Spanish Civil War it became a war hospital until 1939, when it returned to its origins, this time with the name of “Hotel Miramar”. Over time, between 1987 and 2007, it changed its activity to become the Palace of Justice.
From its inauguration to the present day, this historic building has been visited by illustrious guests of European royalty, as well as famous figures from the world of culture and the Spanish bourgeoisie.
It is in 2016 when Hoteles Santos acquires the property of the Miramar Palace to give back all the splendor of this building, on this occasion with the name of “Gran Hotel Miramar”, identity that he maintains today and with which he has managed to become the only luxury hotel in the capital of Malaga.

El restaurante Príncipe de Asturias cuenta con un extenso menú gastronómico cuyos platos se elaboran principalmente a partir de materias primas de la zona, siempre intentando favorecer el consumo de productos de “kilómetro cero” con un sabor malagueño. Además, durante los meses de verano, el restaurante Botanico, situado en la zona ajardinada del hotel y frente a la piscina, es el lugar perfecto para disfrutar del almuerzo en compañía. Para los amantes de la noche, la terraza Media Luna Chill Out cuenta con las mejores vistas de la Bahía de Málaga, el escenario perfecto para disfrutar de un cóctel rodeado del ambiente más exclusivo de la ciudad de Málaga. El Restaurante Mediterráneo, ubicado en la planta baja del edificio, es el lugar para disfrutar del desayuno con vistas al jardín. Asimismo, durante los meses de julio y agosto y durante el almuerzo, el restaurante mediterráneo se convierte en un bar de arroz, donde los clientes pueden degustar las diferentes especialidades de arroz y paella del hotel.
