The Kempinski Resort Hotel Estepona opened its doors in March 1999 celebrating its official opening on September 24, 1999. Located on the sunny coast of Andalusia (2 km from Estepona and 18 km from Marbella) the hotel offers a panoramic view unique on the coast of Africa and Gibraltar. The Kempiski Resort Hotel can only be described as extraordinary: situated on approximately 45,000 m2, it is surrounded by gardens and a sports area, and has 1 kilometer of beautiful beach. The Resort is located just 14 meters from the beach, above sea level, with spectacular views of Africa, Gibraltar and the entire Malaga coast.

Guests of the Kempinski Resort Hotel will not only find themselves next to a fine sandy beach, but also surrounded by great sports facilities, such as tennis, water sports and a fitness room. Near the hotel there are opportunities to practice other sports such as horse riding (the largest horse riding center in Andalusia is just 500 meters from the hotel) and golf in the nearly 40 courses that are located between Malaga and Gibraltar. The Valderrama course, where the 1997 Ryder Cup was held, is a few kilometers from the Kempinski Resort Hotel Estepona.
Capacity:
The Resort has 148 dependencies between rooms and suites, each one of the rooms is approximately 40 m2 and each suite is about 100 m2, all with a private balcony. All the rooms are equipped with mini-bar, direct telephone line, air conditioning, bathrooms with separate shower and bathtub, satellite TV and connections for fax and PC. It is precisely this high level of satisfaction and comfort that has made Kempinski hotels world famous. The junior suites also have a remote control tower TV, sofas and coffee table, dressing room and bathroom products. The suties offer two units: a living room and the bedroom, a refrigerator with a freezer section and the other details named for the junior suite. The hotel has 3 restaurants, 3 bars, a resort doctor, a nautical center, as well as an indoor heated pool and 3 outdoor pools (1 heated), surrounded by a subtropical garden with waterfalls. The hotel’s architect, Melvin Villarroel, is well known as an architect who specializes in projects that harmonize construction with the environment. His gardens have been awarded several times and are considered the most beautiful in Europe. During 1999, the garden of the Kempinski Resort Hotel Estepona received the award for “Best New Creation Company Garden”. It also has the award for “Best Vacation Hotel 1999” and was nominated for the “Architecture award for the best Resort Hotel” by the 4th Hotel Initiative 1999 organized by the magazine “Gran Hotel”. On June 16, 2000, the Kempinski Resort Hotel Estepona received the award for an important botanical and indigenous specimen, the sculptural Chamaerops Humilis palm heart located at the entrance of the hotel, by the Pilar Banús Foundation.
