The oldest convent in Archidona, the Hotel Escuela Convento Santo Domingo, was founded by the Count of Ureña in 1531. Its structure is organized around a central square patio, with the church attached to one side. With a sober front and austere belfry, so much to the taste of the Dominican order, it raises its imposing physiognomy over the adjoining farmhouse dominating the landscape of the plain at its feet. Currently, the Hotel Escuela Convento Santo Domingo has 16 double rooms, 3 triples and 2 suites, several rooms for meetings and celebrations of any kind, bar / cafeteria, restaurant, parking area and gardens, as well as a Hospitality School first level.
